Our garden is really flourishing!! Here are some recent pics. Grapes

We have 4 varieties of tomatoes including Cherry, Super Sioux, Better Boy & a German heirloom. They are all growing like crazy. We must have literally over 100 on the vine right now!

This is our pumpkin patch

Our zucchini squash. These plants have grown until they are as tall as my thighs! Amazing!

Our Keystone Giant green bell peppers

Our Sweet Banana yellow bell peppers

Our Jalapenos

Our tomatillas--we can't wait for some home made enchilada sauce!

Our green beans, started from seeds given to us by Grandma the Great!

Another view

And, one more

Me standing next to my sunflowers! They are really getting huge! There are cucumber vines and melons planted below and next to them. The cucumbers are using the sunflowers to vine on. Another great idea from Grandma the Great!

BabyGirl in front of a huge Cherry tomato plant! Behind her you can just make out the wonderful sprinkler system my husband came up with! We were dragging around the sprinkler to about 4 places in the garden until he invented our new method! our garden is about 20' x 20'. We got a metal sprinkler called "pound of rain" that has no moving parts and is really heavy duty. It only cost $3.25! It covers 30 square feet. When we put it on the ground it couldn't reach everything because the plants around it were so big. So, Bo attached it to some wood mounted on some pipe in the center of the garden. And, voila! Woo Hoo! So easy, just turn it on and forget it!!!

Hope you all are enjoying your summer as much as we are! We've had Bub all week and are totally digging every minute of it! We've been swimming every day, but since we're in the water the whole time no one has managed to get any pictures of it! We're looking forward to having our annual get-together on the 4th of July, and can't wait to set off some fireworks!! Until next time.....

Summer has arrived!

We've started the summer out right!! The garden is flourishing, baby siblings are growing, there's plenty of playing and having fun!! I look forward to sharing this summer with all of our friends and family doing what we do best!!

For our first trip of the summer we went to Noel, Mo to a cave tour. It was such a great tour, and is totally worth traveling to. There is no steep grade, and it's easy to maneuver. There were even people who were taking in strollers, although personally I'd use a sling instead...but, whatever floats your boat! It's a beautiful cave inside and out. There are lots of native rocks and cacti to enjoy, so much that you better make sure you have fresh batteries in your camera!

We've wrapped up our beginners origami classes, and will probably be taking the intermediate ones next since BabyGirl digs them so much! We are also looking forward to some really cool field trips coming up! We'll try to update as much as we can! Have a fantastic summer!!
