Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was the most memorable one I've had. I've got my new Little Man to celebrate, my beautiful Baby Girl, my Bo, and my mother. My Bo made our breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was amazing!!! The lunch was brine smoked pork chops, salad made of local organic greens, organic Yukon gold baked potatoes and a vanilla Mother's Day cake from Whole Foods. Yummy cannot even express how great it was!!!! I didn't touch one dish or do any laundry alllll day. What a wonderful gift!!!! (here we are reading books before bed...I know sissy will be an amazing mommy one day!)

Here we are spending time with Nanny...serious...then, crazy silly! Look at Little Man's face in the silly one...he thinks we're nuts!!

My mother came over and spent most of the day with us. We just enjoyed each other's company and loved the kids. She brought me the most adorable little fruit and veggie characters to go in my kitchen. (I love funky knick knacks) AND gobs and gobs of capris and shorts that actually FIT!!! I cannot tell you how much I needed this!!! I'm wearing a new pair today with a tank top even though it means I had to turn up the heat since it's only in the 50's!!!!! Thanks, mom!! (don't the characters look perfect in my kitchen?!)

Bo and Baby Girl made me the most special Mother's Day card I've ever gotten!!! On the front Baby Girl wrote "Happy Mother's Day, Mom!" On the inside she drew a beautiful picture of a house with very vibrant colors. Then, she and her dad made up a poem for me. Each time you see the words "MY MOM"...they were written in Baby Girls's hand writing. It is so special. Here is what it said:

I know right from wrong, because you're MY MOM
I know many songs, because you're MY MOM
I know how to wear thongs, because you're MY MOM
I know how to read books that are long, because you're MY MOM
I know how to count all day long, because you're MY MOM
But most of all, I know that I am the luckiest girl in the world,
because you're MY MOM

That pretty much says it all. I am the luckiest mom in the world to have such a great family!
And, let's not forget my mother in law!! She got me 2 of the most beautiful nursing sun dresses!!! They fit like a glove, are my favorite colors, and make me feel amazing!!!! I will be living in them all summer long!!!!! Thanks, Mimi!! (here is one in orange)

I am truly blessed!! And, forever grateful for such a memorable Mother's Day!! Can't wait to see what happens next year! :)
