Is it November already?

I meant to get on here over the weekend and update, but things got busy as usual.  :)  That's life in the fast lane.  BabyGirl woke up sick on Halloween and it seems like I've been playing catch up since she's been feeling better.  Things were in slow-mo for a few days, and.....there ya have it!!

We had a wonderful October.  School went beautifully, the weather was gorgeous, and lots of new memories were created!!  I have TONS of pictures from the past few weeks.  I've posted loads of them on this blog post, and will attempt to take you through them in some sort of crazy order.  I just posted them all the way they were downloaded from my camera.  So, please excuse the random-ness!  :)  I will post a more detailed school update later this week.

We went to the pumpkin patch like we always do.  We love our local pumpkin and Christmas tree farm.  It's just the whole experience.  Picking the pumpkins, taking a hay ride, spending time with friends in the country.  We look forward to it each and every year.  This year was no different!

Here is BabyGirl growing like a weed!!

Here are some friends that met us there.
Little Man's first trip to the farm.

BabyGirl decided to be Animal again this year for Halloween. She is a die-hard fan since he is a most amazing drummer like herself.  We got this costume 2 years ago, and she fell in love with it!  We ordered it WAY big so she could fit it for awhile. This will be the last year we see Animal until Little Man decides to resurrect him one day....
Here is our home school group Fall Festival!  The best group of kids ever!
BabyGirl and one of her favorite friends wrapping up the mummy game!
The three legged race!
Little Man played in the leaves during the festivities.
BabyGirl got the honor of attending the Beatles performance done by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra along with the Beatle Mania group from Las Vegas.  It was a most memorable night for her, Daddy, Mimi and cousin Roman.  This is the outfit she chose to wear....
Here they are playing in the leaves together for the first time!
Here is Little Man in the big tub for his first bubble bath ever!!
For science, we've been covering extreme weather forces.  The whole month of October was spent learning about the science behind our weather.  We worked on lots of cool science experiments!!  Here are a few...

Learning about air density by "pouring" cold, smoky air.
Learning about what happens to air molecules when they cool with a balloon....
Learning about humidity with our plastic wrapped hand......
Learning about fog with ice.....
Creating "rain" within a glass jar....
For History/Geography we wrapped up Ancient China.  To celebrate the end of our unit we had an Ancient Chinese feast!!  Here is BabyGirl starting to saute veggies for our chicken fried rice....
The finished product....
Our egg drop soup....
One more weather experiment....creating a hurricane in a bowl!!  We get to see how the "eye" of the hurricane works by dropping in a paper clip during the spinning!
We carved pumpkins!  BabyGirl takes such delight in this every year!  This year she did every single step herself.  From the cleaning out to the carving!!

Here she is in the cleaning-out phase....
Here is Little Man reaching for his tiny pumpkin :)
BabyGirl's FAVORITE part is playing with the goopy guts!!!!!!
Here is Daddy's finished product.....his name is "Get Outta Here!"
Here is BabyGirls's finished product.  His name is "Scary Face"!  I love the way she put slices all around each cut, and made some slices for eyebrows.  It had a great effect!
Here are the rotting pumpkins.  I love those pics!!  :)

Here is another weather experiment...a tornado in a bottle!!!
BabyGirl's cursive writing is just phenomenal.  I finally took some pics of her practice pages so you can see how wonderful it really is!!  I'm so proud of her hard work!

Here is Little Man at the playgroup Halloween party!  He is a true party animal!!
Here he is with his favorite person...big sissy!!
Our sweet group of kids!
We went to Camp Cute n Spooky with Mimi again this year.  It was the MOST perfect night ever to go!! The weather was gorgeous!!  We left at 9:20 and it was still in the mid 60's!!  Little Man was a trooper and had a great time.  BabyGirl had a blast!!  Here are some highlights....

Just before we went in.....

Let me touch you with my messy little hands!!
Little Man is such a joy and wonderful addition to our lives.  He is full of spunk, energy, curiosity, independence and charm.  His little body just radiates with a wonderful energy that is contagious.  He will make you smile every minute of every day.  I love that he is fearless and hope he never loses that as he grows.  He has a beautiful, sweet soul that you can see through his eyes.  He is such a precious gift, and I am thankful he chose me to be his mommy.  He wants to do everything on his own.  Everything.  From eating, to walking, to pushing buttons.  He is so courageous and bright.  I learn every time I look at him how I should be looking at the world.  With limitless possibilites.  With a smile. And, with all my heart.  Look at this handsome little guy....
He loves being attatched and feeling the warmth of mommy....
He looks at his big sister with such love and admiration.....
He melts my heart....
Look at that smile, and those teeth.  He lives with everything he's got....every minute.....
A picture is worth a thousand words.....
I am the most blessed mommy on the planet.....
My BabyGirl is my daily inspiration.  She makes me long to be more than I am.  She makes me work to be who I am ultimately destined to be.  She is full of passion, sensitivity, beauty, individuality, artistic talent and wit.  She laughs with her whole heart and soul.  Truly.  I have never heard such a wonderful full-belly laugh in all my laugh.  It warms my soul.  I know my day is a success if I hear it at least once.  She is also such a precious gift.  I thank God for her every day of my life.  You couldn't ask for a better, more dedicated big sister.  She is a natural mother, and I know she will be a fantastic mom one day to her own kids.  She has one of the most beautiful souls I've had the pleasure of meeting in my entire life.  And, to be blessed with her as my daughter is amazing.  Unexplainable.  Look at how beautiful she is.
She can make even the oldest things new with her positive outlook and flair...
During our last home school meeting BabyGirl decided to run for President.  She wrote her speech entirely on her own.  This is a shining example of her beautiful soul.  I love the innocent, sweet child that lives within her.  We could all learn from her.  We could see how to become better human beings.  She wrote this speech the way she conducts the rest of her life...with all her heart and soul.  It was full of things she thought would be beneficial to all the world.  It was honest.  It was sincere.  And, most of all it was real.

Why I should be President

Hi, my name is BabyGirl and the reason I would like to be President is because I would be fair, help in any way I can, rescue animals and be polite.  Also, I would take ideas from people and make fair laws.  And, I would keep every body safe.  Plus, for people who do not know how to draw, I will teach art.  And I will make sure that every body has enough money to get through hard times.  And, that is why I should be president.  Thank you.  Please vote for me.

I think that says it all.
