We are so ready for the season this year!! We have finished up our school work so that we can just focus on what is important and take it easy. This is a great tradition that we plan on continuing each and every year!! I am especially reminded of this when I visit our blog that I haven't tended to since February. Life is a precious, beautiful, miraculous thing. Our children will only be little for a short time. So, we choose to seize each moment and treat it like the gift that it is. Here's hoping that your family can take the time to slow down this season and savor your time together...make memories you will cherish forever...and love one another.
Day 1 was such a beautiful day!! What a perfect time for beginning the 2nd annual Jones Family 25 Days of Christmas!!!! Both kids got a new tree for this year. BabyGirl's needed to be upgraded to a tall tree so that it could fit all her ornaments, and Little Man not only needed a bigger one...but, he wanted a white one as well. :) Thank you, Walmart after Christmas clearance in 2012! They were so excited to get the boxes down from the attic so they could see the new trees!! They came out amazing...as you can see!
We surprised the kids with a trip to the Russell Stovers at Utica Square to pick up our traditional Snoopy chocolate advent calendars! Great thing to look forward to the moment you get out of bed every morning in December!! :)
The kids finished up the day by writing their letters to Santa. I had to help Little Man with his....
BabyGirl wrote her own......and, very beautifully.....my Baby is really growing up....
That concludes day 1!! We are looking forward to sharing the next 24 days....
Peace.
