Day 12

Wednesday December 12th, 2012-  Day 12

Today, we focused on giving.  We met with our Red Cross home school club to buy a gift for a child we had chosen from the Angel Tree.  The kids had a wonderful time picking out a bicycle and a helmet for her.  Here they are all when we were checking out....

Little Man was so curious about it all.  Before we left he kept asking why we were buying this bike for a girl we didn't know.  After he understood, he was excited to take part.  When we got home he said he really wanted to meet her and give it to her.  He even called his Mimi to tell her what we had done.  It was sweet.  I can say he is a natural giver.  He loves to make hand made items for family and friends, and gets so excited to see them receive them!!

BabyGirl is also a natural giver of gifts and of light.  Last night at bedtime she wrote another letter to Santa.  This time, she didn't ask for gifts.  Instead of gifts, she wanted everyone in the world to have friends and not be bullied, for everyone to love and be loved, and for a 70 year old woman we saw on the Angel Tree to receive the queen size comforter she had asked for.  We mailed it today.  As a mother, this is my real gift this Christmas.
