Today we woke up to a winter wonderland!!! In the end, we got a little over 4.5 inches of snow. It was very powdery, so we couldn't build a snowman. But, that didn't stop us from going out twice today! The first time was in the morning, and it was too cold to stay out for more than about 15 mins. But, this afternoon we made it almost 2 hours! We had a great time shoveling the walks, sledding, making snow angels and laughing til we cried!!!! I took a ton of pictures. Here are some of my favorites....
BabyGirl standing next to our ginormous icicles!!!!
This is me pulling Little Man down the hill on our sled...
BabyGirl was laughing so hard she couldn't get up!! (part of it could have been she was so bundled up!)
Little Man making a snow angel...
BabyGirl's turn....
This one is mine!!!!
Little Man just kept throwing himself down in the drifts!!
He loved how much snow was piled up on his picnic table....
Oh yeah....who can resist making a lightsaber out of an icicle??!
Cole was just chillin'..... :) (taking a time out of his heated cat house)
The view looking towards the chicken coop. Snow is so beautiful!! It also makes everything so peaceful outside. It was so still when we were standing outside. It was beautiful.
After coming in and having hot cocoa, we put on our John Denver and The Muppets record...
We made reindeer out of hand and feet prints. Here are Little Man's. He cut the eyes out himself.
Here are BabyGirl's. I love how she made the antlers unique....I also love that she still made them with me. <3>
We also made snowmen paper chains today. This one is Little Man's after he hung it on the wall behind his tree. He drew eyes and a mouth on each one....
BabyGirl is still working on hers. But, here are a couple shots of ones she has done so far. They are each different and will look perfect on the wall!!!!!!
And, lastly, this last picture is for the child in all of us that refuses to grow up....or, at least the one living inside me. :)
This was the best snow day ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy and thankful to be able to take this time off and enjoy everything about my children and this season!! I know many memories were made today that none of us will never forget. Here's hoping that you take the time to do the same....
