Right after breakfast this morning, BabyGirl got us started on some Christmas trees that she found in one of our art books. They were really easy to make, and look great on the table or as an ornament on the tree. Here is Little Man working on his stickers...
Putting stars all over the tree....
He is so proud of his tree toppers!
These are BabyGirl's. I love the different colored dots. Each side of the tree has a different color theme...
Little Man remembered that we read about making clove apples in our bedtime story book last night. He was so excited that he thought of it after making the Christmas trees. Here they are hard at work.....and, it is hard work! I can see why people gave them out as Christmas presents! It takes lots of time, patience and finger power to fill an apple with cloves!!! A great way to pass time on a cold and snowy morning. And, they smell wonderful!!!!!
Here they are after us working on them awhile....they really are pretty.
We played out again today for ages. Daddy was home, so he participated. :) Somehow, BabyGirl ended up sledding down the slide! Little Man had Daddy packing the slide with snow so he could fly down almost as fast as sister. They had a blast! One of my favorite parts was watching the chickens perched on their doorway watching every single move we made! We provided the afternoon entertainment. They were so serious as they watched us. They would turn their head sideways as if they were thinking "What *are* they doing? Are they crazy out there in that stuff??" It was hilarious!!!
BabyGirl has been spending lots of time at the table working on presents for everyone.....there's nothing quite like a cold and wintry day spent thinking of others. That is something we could all use a little more of. We are truly blessed.
