Today we got together with a wonderful group of friends! We have a lunch club called "Tastes of the World" where we get together monthly to create meals from different countries! The kids absolutely love these get-togethers...and so do the adults!!! I didn't get pictures of all the children enjoying their lunches...just a couple. I was too interested in the food! :) But, here are a couple pics of the kids eating their Holiday meal from Switzerland!!
For our Switzerland holiday we had Raclette. It's a wonderful cheese that you melt and eat on boiled potatoes. Here is the Raclette warmer. You put the cheese slices into little trays that are placed on the heated surface.
The cheese gets all bubbly and yummy!!
We put the melted cheese on top of boiled yellow potatoes along with some bacon and paprika. It was wonderful! We also had a variety of pickled vegetables on the side....
For dessert....chocolate fondue!!
We had a wonderful dinner with some wonderful friends. We are so thankful to have them in our lives! They are such blessings to us in so many ways. We are looking forward to a whole new year of Tastes of the World in 2015!
